The Expert Guide to Discover Ancient Rome

Fabulous tour and great guide

"We really enjoyed every minute of our tour with Marta. She was interesting, friendly and very knowledgeable. Having the bus take us to the various sites was very helpful since they are quite far apart. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Rome."

Must take an underground tour

We took the underground tour at the Colosseum and loved it! The Underground tour is the only way to gain access to the lowest level of the Colosseum, as well, a beautiful view at the top overlooking Ancient Rome. The tour lasted about 90 minutes but was filled with great information and exclusive views. I would recommend you take the underground tour if you go.

Love death w/out the creepiness? This is for you!

We toured the Underground with Mike from "I Love Rome" tours and it was THE BEST experience! Mike was knowledgeable, fun and just a cool guy to be with. Mike provided many elements that would have been lost w/out a guide. Really good!

Our visit to Rome guided by Luca di Trapano

Our group of 6 Americans toured the Colosseum and the St. Clemente Church catacombs with Luca di Trapano. He first took us to a wonderful restaurant, Hostaria Antica Roma, where we enjoyed a delicious meal and delightful conversation with Paolo. The tours we then took with him were a lot of fun and very informative.

Marco Tavola e Luca Di Trapano: best guides for Rome underground tour!

We visited Saint Callisto's Catacomb, Basilica of St Clemente and the Crypt of Cappucini (via Veneto). Our guide was very thorough explaining the history of Rome throughout the tour. It became clear to me that the Rome that I see has several layers down below and there lies monuments and buildings from the past like a "lasagna". He was very creative using his i pad extensively.
